Yes, I'm Donald, the new owner. I've been losing hair from the top of my head for years, but for the most part it doesn't bother me.

Hi, I'm Donald, and I'm the new owner of WhatCausesBaldness .net

I hope you like the changes that are being introduced and all the new information on baldness and hairloss.

Thank you for visiting.

Alopecia Areata Treatment

Alopecia Areata, defintion being the sudden loss of large clumps of hair, can be treated successfully with a treatment Scottish researchers found to be effective.

Some vitamins and minerals can help stop balding and hairloss, while too much of a good vitamin can cause baldness (alopecia).

Alopecia Areata is actually more common than most people realise.

We still don't know what causes alopecia areata exactly, and, up until recently, the medical treatment for alopecia areata was, well, pathetic.

However, my ancestral homeland of Scotland, has come to the rescue for many.

A few bright researchers got their act together, and did a study on the use of some essential oils from certain herbs, to see if they could up with a treatment for alopecia areata.

What they found was remarkable, with 44% of people with alopecia areata using the essential oils, showing significant hair regrowth over a three month period.

Thats a whopping number of people who responded to the treatment.

About 15% of people with alopecia areata normally have significant regrowth within a three month period - so it's three times that number improving with the Scottish treatment.

The Scottish Treatment for Alopecia Areata

The treatment these Scots people came up with was:

Mix together:

20 millilitres of grape seed oil

3 millilitres jojobo oil

3 drops lavender oil

3 drops rosemary oil

2 drops thyme oil

2 drops cedarwood oil

Then gently massage it into the scalp for two minutes each night, for up to three months.

Wear a night cap - or shower cap - until the oils have soaked in.

With any luck, your alopecia areata, will be all fixed up.

Baldness and premature hair loss can be caused by genetics and therefore run in a family

Male pattern baldness can happen to male teenagers as well as to men.

Females are at risk of developing hair loss and female baldness, due to hormonal changes, such as with giving birth, or getting pregnant.

After age 30, hair loss and baldness in both men and women is to be expected.

After age 40, males will typically show signs of male pattern baldness and females will normally start seeing their hair thinning out.
