What is DHT?
DHT, an abbreviation for dihydrotestosterone, is a hormone produced from the metabolism of testosterone. DHT can cause baldness by it's effects on the hair follicles.
Essentially, DHT puts the hair follicles to 'sleep', preventing hair from growing.
DHT can become excessive during our life cycle, and when it does, it can cause baldness and or hair loss to appear.
Baldness, or hair loss, is usually something only adults need to worry about, but in a few cases, teens lose their hair too — and it may be a sign that something's going on.

Losing hair can be stressful during a time when you're already concerned about appearance, and, let's face it, we are normally always concerned about our appearance, no mater how old or young we are.
Don't jump on the DHT baldness and hairloss Bandwagon to soon
Most of the time, hair loss is temporary when it occurs in the teenage years and below.
With temporary hair loss, the hair usually grows back after the problem that causes it is corrected.
Hair loss can mean a person may be sick or just not eating right.
Some medications or medical treatments, like the chemotherapy treatment for cancer, also can cause hair loss.
People can even lose their hair if they wear a hairstyle that pulls on the hair for a long time, such as braids.
The production of DHT
With the presence of testosterone, reproduction, sex orientation behavior and secondary characteristics, the sex hormones are permeating our different types of body tissues.
Also, the regulation of hypothalamic and functions of pituitary glands are mediated by this hormone.
They are acting in direct contact to the androgen receptors and are responsible for converting testosterone to dihydrotestosterone.
Dihydrotestosterone is a metabolite present in humans, which can cause hair loss.
There is a structure in our hair accountable for their growth, it is called the dermal papilla.
Cells in the dermal papilla are dividing and differentiating in order for us to grow new hair.
The dermal papilla is the intermediary contact point between the capillaries in blood stream that are responsible for giving nutrients to the hair follicles, thus enabling hair growth.
A rich filled nutrient blood supply in the body is very essential so as to maintain our hair growth.
By the time the DHT reaches your hair follicles and the dermal papilla, it will eventually control the proteins, minerals and vitamins, reducing their availability to the hair follicles, thus causing your hair to stop growing, fall out, or grow weakly.
